Governor –elect Larry Hogan named seven more senior officials to his administration Tuesday, including a Baltimore city delegate who lost his seat in last year’s primary election.

The top spot went to Pete Rahn, a former transportation official in New Mexico and Missouri, who Hogan named to the cabinet level post of transportation secretary.

But Hogan’s most intriguing choice today Keiffer Mitchell, the Baltimore city Democrat who lost his House of Delegates seat in a primary that pitted him against two other incumbents.  Mitchell said he was honored and flattered to be named a special advisor.

“The governor is showing his bipartisanship that he has expressed, and I guess I’m a testament to that,” he said.
