MARC, Maryland’s rail commuter service, begins first-ever weekend service between Baltimore and Washington on the Penn Line starting Saturday.
The trains will run between Union Station in Washington and Penn Station in Baltimore.
There will be nine round trips on Saturdays, departing from Penn Station between 7:35 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. Departures from Union Station run from 9:02 a.m. to 10:35 p.m.
The six Sunday trips leave Penn Station between 9:15 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Trips leave Union Station between 10:40 a.m. and 7 p.m.
A one-way fare, Baltimore to Washington, is $7; the one-way ticket price from from BWI to Washington is $6. Monthly and weekly passes are good on the weekends.
Trains will stop at Martin State Airport, Penn Station, West Baltimore, Halethorpe, BWI, Odenton, Bowie, New Carrollton and Union Station.
