Landmark gun control legislation is headed to Governor Martin O'Malley's desk now that the State Senate has given it final approval. The Senate had already approved a gun bill... yesterday's vote of 28 to 19 was on a version of the legislation that had been amended by the House of Delegates. Opponents of the measure vow to petition it to referendum, and give Maryland voters the final say. Court challenges could also be in the future.
