The Apex Theatre, which has outlasted every other XXX cinema in the city, was sold for $295,000 Friday morning.
But the new owner said he has no intention to change course—for now. Sukhbir Singh, the highest bidder said he will likely keep showing adult films. “I’m just going to let them [keep operating], whoever’s doing it now,” Singh said. “I’ve got nothing in mind yet.”
Singh, who owns liquor stores in Baltimore, beat out other interested parties, including an apartment developer, with the highest bid.
And so the Apex, which has a gross annual income of $32,619 lives on.
